Learn resuscitation skills from the experts

Learn resuscitation skills from the experts

Would you know what to do in an emergency if your baby or young child had to be resuscitated? If not, then consider registering for a free three-hour training session delivered by the University of Bradford where you learn these important skills in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment.

The sessions in basic life support will run monthly at the university from February 2020. They are free of charge for mums, dads and carers of babies and children who are usually fit, well and healthy. A maximum of five families will take part in each session – with two people from each family.

Led by a qualified Children’s Nurse and Children’s Nursing Lecturer (who is also a children’s resuscitation instructor for the Resuscitation Council UK) the sessions aim to ensure you know what to do even if you never need to use your training; because it’s better to have the skills and not need to use them than to need skills.

Unfortunately, crèche facilities are unavailable, but tea, coffee, biscuits and juice will be provided at each session. As well as the trainers, children’s nursing students may also be present to help and support families.

For an informal chat about the training or to book a place on any session – please contact the University of Bradford’s Children’s Field Nursing Lecturer Fi Croucher on 01274 236335 or email f.croucher@bradford.ac.uk
