Don’t miss out on a Bookstart Baby Pack

Bookstart Baby Pack

Bookstart Baby PackReading to your baby helps their brain and language to develop, so don’t miss out on your free Bookstart Baby Pack of books and resources from the BookTrust to support you in reading to your infant.

These packs are temporarily being gifted by registrars when you register your baby’s birth, but if your child was born between March and October 2020 you may have missed out on the pack due to the pandemic restrictions. If you have not previously received a pack then please contact your local library to arrange a timed collection slot so you can pick up a pack – check here for details, but please don’t call into the library unless you have pre-booked a collection slot.

Pack contents vary but contain two engaging age-appropriate books carefully chosen by independent experts such as health visitors and librarians, together with a colourful rhyme sheet and parental guidance booklet.

As you read to your baby, they tune in to the rhythm and the rise and fall of your voice. When you show them a picture and give the image a name, they begin to make the connection between what you say and the picture, helping them to first understand words and later speak them.

Don’t miss out on your Bookstart Baby Pack.
